2007 Philip Recto Awardees BaredThe UP College of Architecture has announced that Patrick Brian Angco, Lorraine Joyce Yu, Jacky Chang, Deniece Yusun, Meggie Anne Garcia and Brian Alan Sabido are this year’s Philip Recto Design Excellence awardees.
In addition, the following were given special awards by Arch. Philip Recto: Jonathan Jiddu Bulatao, Rose Michelle Magat, Cristina Margarita Lozano, Andrea Marie Dizon and Maria Odelia Precioso.
The Philip Recto Award, which was established in 2000, gives recognition to top design theses and helps awardees get oversea training with renowned architectural firms in Singapore or Hong Kong. Training spans two years and comes with attractive remunerations. Recto himself started his professional career in Singapore where he was the architect-in-charge of International Plaza, the first 50-storey building in Singapore.
